Squaretet, a recorder ensemble based in Amsterdam, recently presented an evening of 50 for the Future works that they arranged for their recorder quartet. Kronos' David Harrington traveled to Amsterdam to attend the concert, where composers Aftab Darvishi and Merlijn Twaalfhoven were also in attendance.

"It was refreshingly thrilling and wonderful to hear Kronos music from the sound world of the fabulous Squaretet in their very first performance together," says Harrington. "We wish them the very best for all of their future work. What a cool way to inaugurate a new group!"

We are proud that they chose to perform music of Laurie Anderson, Aftab Darvishi, Philip Glass, Nicole Lizée, Tanya Tagaq, Merlijn Twaalfhoven, and Aleksandra Vrebalov.
