Bay Area–based ensemble FIREBIRD debuts “The Plath Project” this Sunday, April 26, featuring works surrounding the poetry of Sylvia Plath. The group will perform the world premiere of In Plaster, a new piece by Yotam Haber, one of our 10 composers in this first year of Fifty for the Future. Written for soprano, clarinet, and piano, In Plaster musically transposes Plath’s poem of the same name into an illustration of two dueling personalities wrestling for Plath’s attention.
