Garth Knox Featured on WNYC’s “New Sounds”

Today on WNYC’s “New Sounds,” host John Schaefer presents a new episode, “Folk Meets Minimalism: Violin and Viola Edition,” featuring Garth Knox’s composition for three violas, Up, down, sideways, round.
Knox, a year-one composer for Fifty for the Future,
wrote this étude with the intention of teaching contemporary bow
techniques, deeming it the first four-dimensional bow piece in the
world.
